What is IELTS?

IELTS คือชื่อย่อของระบบการวัดผลภาษาอังกฤษนานาชาติ (The International
English Language Testing System) ซึ่งเป็นระบบทดสอบความรู้ภาษาอังกฤษ สำหรับผู้ที่ไม่ได้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาหลัก แต่มีความประสงค์ที่จะใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ
ในการศึกษาต่อ หรือทำงานทั้งในและต่างประเทศ IELTS จัดทำ และพัฒนาขึ้นโดย
IDP : Education Australia; IELTS Australia, the University
of Cambridge Local Examinaitons Syndicate (UCLES) และ
the British Council. ซึ่งในปัจจุบัน มีศูนย์สอบกว่า 250 แห่งทั่วโลก

IELTS เป็นระบบวัดผลภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับการศึกษาต่อชนิดเดียวที่ให้ความสำคัญ
ต่อการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ ทั้งสี่ทักษะ คือ ฟัง พูด อ่าน และ เขียน โดยให้คะแนนทั้งสี่ทักษะ
แยกออกจากกัน สามารถวัดผลได้ชัดเจน แม่นยำ และถูกต้องตรงกับความสามารถ ในการ
ใช้ภาษาที่แท้จริงของผู้สอบ IELTS จะทดสอบทั้งสี่ทักษะ โดยแบ่งการทดสอบออกเป็น
สองช่วง : ช่วงเช้า: สอบข้อเขียน ใช้เวลาประมาณ 2 ชั่วโมง 30 นาที
(การฟัง 30 นาที, การอ่าน 60 นาที, และการเขียน 60 นาที)
ช่วงบ่าย: สอบสัมภาษณ์รายบุคคลกับอาจารย์ชาวต่างประเทศ
ใช้เวลาประมาณ 11 - 14 นาที

What is IELTS ?

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the premier English language
test for students and migrants world-wide. IELTS assesses your ability to study or work in
English, and to listen, read write and speak in English

IELTS is the preferred language test of education institutions in Australia, New Zealand, UK,
Canada and, increasingly, the USA. It is the official test for trainees of various government
departments in Australia and the UK, and for the registration of many professional
organisations.

IELTS is developed and managed by IDP Education Australia; IELTS Australia, the University
of Cambridge Local Examinaitons Syndicate (UCLES) and the British Council. The test
is currently conducted at approimately 250 test centres around the world.

What does the test consist of ?

IELTS แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภทคือ :There are two types of test:

Academic: For candidates planning to undertake tertiary, undergraduate or postgraduate
courses, or professional registration.

General Training: For candidates going to English speaking countries to complete secondary
education, undertake work experience or training programs at lower than degree level, or for
immigration purposes.

IELTS แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ

Academic: สำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการเรียนต่อในระดับอุดมศึกษาหรือสูงกว่าในทุกสาขา

General Training: สำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการศึกษาในระดับต่ำกว่าอุดมศึกษา ระดับมัธยมศึกษา หลักสูตรระยะสั้น
หลักสูตรฝึกอบรมต่างๆ แต่บางสถาบันต้องการให้ผู้สมัครเรียนสอบ Academic Module อันเนื่องมาจากความยาก
ง่ายของสาขา ซึ่งผู้สมัครสามารถสอบถามโดยตรงกับทางสถาบันนั้น หรือ เจ้าหน้าที่แนะแนวของ IDP หรือสำหรับ
ผู้ที่มีความประสงค์จะย้ายถิ่นฐานไปออสเตรเลียหรือนิวซีแลนด์

How can I prepare for the test ?

Candidates may prepare for the IELTS test using specimen materials available from
EIFFEL Institute. Alternatively candidates may choose to study an IELTS preparation course
according to their needs at IDP.

ผู้สมัครสอบสามารถเตรียมตัวก่อนสอบด้วยตัวเองโดยการศึกษาจากคู่มือเตรียมตัวก่อนสอบ IELTS
ซึ่งมีจำหน่ายที่ IDP หรือ เข้าเรียนหลักสูตรเตรียมตัวก่อนสอบ IELTS ที่สถาบัน ไอ-เฟ็ล, โดยมีหลักสูตรให้เลือก

When do I receive my results?

Your results can be sent you within 2 weeks, or you can collect the results yourself at your test
centre. If you require the test centre to send results direct to the institution to which you have applied,
you should inform the test centre on the day or registration.

ศูนย์สอบจะทำการจัดส่งผลการสอบให้ผู้สอบถ้าต้องการ หรือ สามารถรับผลการสอบโดยตรงได้ที่ศูนย์สอบหลังจากการสอบ
1 สัปดาห์ (ไม่สามารถแจ้งผลการสอบทางโทรศัพท์) ในกรณีที่ต้องการให้ศูนย์สอบจัดส่งผลการสอบไปยังสถาบันการศึกษา
ที่ผู้สอบสมัครไว้ ผู้สอบจะต้องแจ้งให้ศูนย์ทราบภายในวันที่สมัครสอบ

1) Passport or ID Card, and photocopy
2) 1 photo 1" or 2"
3) Bank Draft US$110 make payable to IDP or Thai Baht equivalent
4) If you have taken the IELTS test before, please bring your previous test report form.
